The College of Humanities, Education, and Social Sciences invites
applications for a 12-month tenure-track Associate Professor and
Program Director of Intelligence Studies to begin in July
2022. The successful candidate will lead the new
undergraduate program in Intelligence Studies, housed in the
Department of Criminal Justice and Social Work, and teach courses
in their area of specialization. Administrative release time
from teaching will be provided to facilitate the leadership of the
program. The program director will also collaborate with
faculty in Criminal Justice, Political Science, Global Languages,
Cybersecurity, Business, and other departments, to grow this
innovative interdisciplinary program. Additional responsibilities
include student recruitment and program evaluation. The
successful candidate will advise students and prepare them
intellectually, professionally, and personally, and will be
expected to engage in scholarly activities in keeping with the
Boyer Model of Scholarship as is appropriate to the application and
receipt of tenure and promotion at Gannon. Requirements
include an earned doctorate in Intelligence or a related field,
experience in the field of Intelligence, a scholarly background
commensurate with Associate Professor rank, and demonstrated
teaching excellence in higher education. Candidates must be
able to support and promote the University's inclusive Mission, its
Catholic identity, and its liberal arts and professional education
traditions.
