Roanoke College seeks an accomplished and innovative leader to serve as Vice President for Academic Affairs and Dean of the College.

Founded in 1842, Roanoke College is an independent, residential, liberal arts college serving 1,900 undergraduate students. It is located on an attractive 80-acre campus in Salem, Virginia, only minutes away from the scenic Blue Ridge Mountains and the city of Roanoke, which has been named a top city in which to live and retire. With a 13:1 student to faculty ratio and an average class size of 18, Roanoke College features small classes and excellent mentoring. The next Vice President/Dean has an exciting opportunity to provide leadership for a faculty and staff ready for an examination of the current curriculum, while preparing to invest in new programs to address student interest and grow enrollment. Working collaboratively with faculty, staff, and others in the cabinet, the Vice President/Dean will ensure a high quality experience both within and outside the classroom. The appointee will aim to diversify the faculty and staff and aid their efforts to support students from all backgrounds, from college entry to graduation and beyond. The Vice President/Dean will bring successful experience in balancing a consensus-driven style with decisiveness and a sense of urgency in promoting change.
