Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for a nine-month, tenure track Assistant Professor of Robotics and Mechatronics Engineering faculty position in the Department of Robotics and Mechatronics Engineering beginning August 1, 2022.
The primary responsibilities for the position include research, teaching and service work.
The ideal candidate will bring an established record of or promise of a vigorous, interdisciplinary, and sustainable externally funded research program.
Courses are taught on the Marietta campus of Kennesaw State University and are offered during daytime and evening hours. Faculty are expected to teach in a variety of instructional modalities, including face-to-face, hybrid, flipped classroom and online.
Required Qualifications Include
- An earned terminal/doctorate degree, or a foreign equivalent, in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering or closely related field is required.
- A strong background in computer programming is
Preferred Qualifications Include
- Experience in securing or showing promise for national-level external
- Industry experience and/or Professional Engineering
- Experience teaching in various instructional
- Research related to collaborative robotics, complex mechatronics mechanisms and design, or medical robotics.
- Expertise in machine learning and AI is
