Job Summary

The Boulder Experimental Electronics and Manufacturing (BEEM) Laboratory in the College of Engineering and Applied Science (CEAS) at the University of Colorado Boulder (CU) is seeking a driven, multi-skilled individual for a 1 to 2 year Postdoctoral Associate position to study and develop printed electronic sensor systems for in-situ monitoring of various analytes of interest in soil (including moisture, ion concentration, microbial activity, and carbon accumulation).

What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be

Study and develop printed electronic sensor systems for in-situ monitoring of various analytes of interest in soil (including moisture, ion concentration, microbial activity, and carbon accumulation). This transdisciplinary position will address a range of areas, including organic and nanomaterials, sensor devices, print processes, wireless readout methods, as well as soil and plant science and ecology. In addition to the primary technical research role, the individual holding this position will also take on some general management and leadership tasks within the lab, will actively collaborate and communicate with external groups working on the project and will work to regularly and effectively disseminate research results through publications and presentations.

What We Require

The candidate should have a recent Ph.D. in a Science or Engineering field and experience with printed electronics, novel sensors, and electrical systems.
