Community College of Philadelphia is seeking to fill a Director, Public and Governmental Fundraising position. Reporting to the Vice President for Institutional Advancement/Foundation Executive Director, the Director for Public and Governmental Fundraising is a key member of the advancement team and is an important contributing member to the college's fundraising needs. While an integral part of the advancement team, this individual must be self-motivated and goal-driven, and able to work with a high degree of independence. This position will research, recommend and implement a multi-year comprehensive strategy for engaging, growing, and diversifying public and governmental funding, expanding networks, and deepening relationships with funding agencies and partners for the College's vision as manifested in its strategic plan and as articulated by the College President.

Minimum Qualifications• Bachelor's degree required.
• Five (5) years of grant writing and grant monitoring experience required.
• Demonstrated leadership skills or management experience required.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, including the capacity to develop enduring relationships with a diverse range of people, including high-level internal constituents and community leaders required.
• Exceptional ability to manage relationships across institutional channels while being calm, sensitive, and respectful with college faculty and staff required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required.
• Knowledge of relevant fundraising software required.
• Excellent organizational, project, and time management skills required.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills required.
• Familiarity with electronic submission of proposals (e-grants, grants.gov) required.
• Ability to maintain sensitivity, understanding, and respect for a diverse academic environment, inclusive of students, faculty, and staff of varying social, economic, cultural, ideological, and ethnic backgrounds required.
Preferred Qualifications
• Master's degree preferred. Any and all degrees must be from a recognized institutional accreditor.
• Knowledge of grant compliance preferred.
• Demonstrated knowledge of grant development and the requirements of a variety of federal, state, local, and other funding sources preferred.
• Experience in a higher education environment preferred.
• Raiser's Edge preferred.
