The Career Center at Indiana Tech is seeking a full-time Career Center Assistant who will manage the office and provide customer service and clerical support to the department. The successful candidate will respond in a positive manner to telephone calls and interface with students, alumni, employer partners, administrators, faculty, staff, parents, vendors, and visitors

 

 

 

Other principal duties include working closely with employers to post open positions in Warrior Jobs, assisting employer partners with customer service requests, including arranging campus visits, assisting in managing and scheduling student appointments for Career Center staff, marketing and promoting Career Center events, and assisting with the management of student workers. Other clerical support includes, but is not limited to, maintaining database, office files and operating standard office equipment, receiving and dispatching mail, preparing and reviewing reports and forms, receiving and securing payments, and processing purchase orders according to business office practices. This position reports to the Director of the Career Center and Regional Career Services.

 

 

 

 

 

The preferred candidate will hold an Associates degree or certificate in office management. Ability to work independently, maintain confidentiality, multi-task, and work in a fast-paced team environment are necessary for this role. The preferred candidate will have strong written and verbal communication and customer service skills as well as proficient computer skills. The candidate should have strong understanding of FERPA.
