Job Description:

The Curry College Department of Business and Computer Science invites applicants for a full-time Assistant Professor of Computer Science beginning Fall 2022.  Successful candidates will demonstrate subject matter expertise in the field of Computer Science, evidence of teaching excellence, skill in engaging students through active and collaborative learning, competent use of instructional technology, exceptional oral and written communication skills, and a strong record or demonstrated scholarship potential.  Courses of interest would be in the areas of Computer Operating System Theory, Object Oriented Programming, Operating Systems, Programming, and Web Development.  Background in other areas such as Data Analytics and Management Information Systems is an advantage

The person in this role will be teaching in the traditional day program. Additional responsibilities include student advising, and engaging in service activities within the department, the College, the community, and the profession.

Requirements:

Candidates must demonstrate strong research skills with the potential to publish in leading academic journals and must have an earned Ph.D. or DBA in Computer Science, ABD will be considered with a completion date before August 2022.
