The Cinema Studies Program at Bowdoin College invites applications for a one-year, full-time, non-renewable visiting assistant professor position in the area of ­­­­­­American film and television studies, to begin July 1, 2022. Area of expertise open but preference for contemporary American film, animation, avant-garde, documentary, film genres, and television. Teaching load is two courses per semester, with one introductory course in film analysis. PhD and teaching experience preferred; advanced ABDs considered. Successful candidates will demonstrate a strong commitment to inclusive excellence in undergraduate teaching.
