Position Purpose
Provides financial and administrative management for the Rockefeller Center including monitoring and reporting on the finances of the Center, budget development, overseeing payroll activities, managing and reconciling financial transactions, assisting in grant preparation and management, and coordinating the financial stewardship of all donors. Contributes to the development, implementation and management for assigned student programs offered by the Rockefeller Center.

- Bachelor’s degree with a major in accounting, business administration, or the equivalent.
- Five + years of experience in financial transactions
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Exceptional organizational skills, including managing multiple projects and project budgets.
- Ability to take initiative, work independently, respond well to pressures, deadlines, and changes in priorities and schedules, and work in a fast-paced environment with a high degree of accuracy.
- Ability to effectively work and interact with faculty, students, administrators, alumni, and special guests.
- Demonstrated experience in accounting and financial management.
- Excellent writing and research skills, including preparation of PowerPoint presentations.
- Demonstrated analytical skills, including ability to work with databases
- Highly proficient with multiple computer applications, particularly Excel.
- Demonstrated competence in using and learning new technology.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive information.
- Commitment to diversity and to participation in a diverse community.
- Interest in higher education, non-profits, public policy, and leadership and management.
- Demonstrated ability to work with financial reporting software.
- Working knowledge of Filemaker for database management.

Description
Financial and Grants Management
- Manages, processes, and reconciles financial transactions, ensuring the Center’s compliance with Dartmouth policies and guidelines for financial operations.
- When appropriate, works with the Arts and Sciences Grants Manager in overseeing the financial management of external grants including preparation of budgets for new grant proposals.
- Assists faculty and senior research staff and the appropriate A&S Research Grants Manager in preparing proposal submissions for external funding.

- Independently develops, implements, and provides a variety of financial reports and analyses throughout the year, tailored to the needs of different audiences including, but not limited to the Rockefeller Center Board of Visitors, Rockefeller Center Directors, faculty, and staff.

Budgeting and Forecasting
- Primarily responsible for annual budget submission to the Dean of Faculty Office and Dartmouth’s Central Budget Office.
- Provides analysis and recommendations to Rockefeller Center Directors regarding the financial impact of ongoing programs, future initiatives, and research activities.
- Apprises them of available funding as well as anticipated changes in funding.
- Guides individual team members throughout the budgeting process and ensures individual budgets are created efficiently and effectively.

- Provides strategic guidance for resource allocations. Develops and implements department systems to accommodate organizational growth.
- Ensures that efficient systems are put into place for accurate financial analysis thus providing a basis for sound financial decision-making.

- Serves as the primary point of contact for facilities management; Dartmouth’s Office of Human Resources for recruiting and hiring of staff, faculty, and post-doctoral candidates; and the Procurement Office for contracts management.
- Responsible for purchasing items needed for Center-wide operations.

- Assists the Center’s Director and Deputy Director with donor relations and stewardship and manages administrative processes and reporting for annual and long-term fundraising efforts.

- Supervises and analyzes the implementation and integration of the database management needs for the Center. Provides necessary reports, projections and analyses to Rockefeller Center directors and other departmental colleagues.
