A growing BFA program in Graphic Design seeks an innovative
designer, researcher, and teacher with expertise in motion design.
Additional areas of expertise might include video, animation, or
XR; human-centered or community-engaged design; and design
history/theory. The desired education is MFA or MDes in Graphic
Design or closely related discipline, however, applicants may
present evidence of comparable experience (3 - 5 years) and/or
distinction in the field. Candidates should demonstrate a record of
achievement in research and provide evidence of a trajectory
towards tenure. Portfolio can include client-based work, and/or
peer reviewed exhibitions, competitions, grants, scholarly
publications and presentations. Teaching assignment is 5 courses
per year, primarily in Graphic Design and some in Digital Media.
Experience effective for undergraduate level is desired. We are
interested in candidates that have successfully mentored
individuals from groups underrepresented in higher education.
