Position/Rank Assistant Teaching Professor, Computer Science Track Non-Tenure Track Position Title Assistant Teaching Professor, Computer Science Category Full-Time Faculty Position Number   FTE 1 FLSA Exempt Department Computer Science Location Chicago Job Type Full-Time Position Summary Roosevelt University’s Department of Computer Science, Information Technology, and Data Science seeks a non-tenure-track faculty member to begin August 2022.

Candidates from all areas of Computer Science will be considered; however, preference may be given to candidates with backgrounds and research in the areas of data science, artificial intelligence, and cyber security.    The primary responsibility of the position is to teach and to develop undergraduate and graduate courses in all programs of the department. Candidate should be committed to research in a related field and to including students in research activities. 

Other responsibilities include office hours, advising, course assessment, service contributions, recruitment, and contributions to campus diversity goals (e.g. incorporating diversity into mentoring, curriculum, or service).

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required
  • M.S. degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Experience teaching computer science courses in higher education.

  • PhD in computer science or related field
  • College level teaching experience. The applicant is expected to teach courses at all levels, including entry- and graduate-level courses. Preferences may also be given to candidates who can teach industrial certification courses.
