Position Description:
Provides support and assistance to the Chief Compliance and Audit Officer with administering the University Compliance Program, particularly in the area of training and compliance initiatives. Manages key compliance related projects that include working directly with stakeholders to develop project deliverables, tracking progress of deliverables, and reporting project statuses to campus management and leadership.
Handles confidential information, including those pertaining to research, patients and training records. Organizes and maintains documents for easy retrieval. Works with the Office of the General Counsel and the Policy Administrators to map training to applicable regulatory requirements and documents risk findings to identify control needs, including those related to training. Represents the Compliance Office at campus-wide and departmental meetings, university committees and programs as needed. Participates in the development and implementation of classroom, web-based and other media training programs for all employees designed to promote knowledge of University policies, legal and regulatory requirements of the University's activities. Maintains records and regularly provides reports. Supports non-compliance training programs by providing coordination assistance as requested or needed. Coordinates both internal and external resources required by the program. Project manages training campaigns, including following up to ensure completion and reporting on progress. Assists with audits and other reviews of campus programs. Assists with identification of areas of internal control weaknesses.
Executes complex compliance projects and works closely with University management, faculty and staff to communicate the merits of and adherence to all aspects of compliance at the University. Develops relationships with personnel who have a significant role in the University's compliance efforts. Performs other duties and projects as needed or assigned by the Chief Compliance and Audit Officer.
