Department Summary
The University of Oregon Intercollegiate Athletic Department's primary purpose is to provide a unique opportunity for student-athletes to be developed, tested, and encouraged to reach their maximum potential in every aspect of their lives. The department has approximately 250 administrative & classified employees, hosts over 600,000 spectators annually, and represents the University of Oregon in athletic competition with other universities & colleges.
Position Summary
Reporting to the Assistant Athletic Director of Video Services, the Assistant Director will be responsible for producing high-quality video board content for all sports within the University of Oregon athletic department. The person in this position will be accountable for all content production for in-game presentations at UO athletic venues, with the ultimate goal of strategically enhancing the brand of the University of Oregon Athletic Department. They will be responsible to produce high-quality promotional video content for social media and all other UO communications channels with footage from the video department. This position will be responsible for the creation of strategies relative to content and message and will subsequently be accountable for executing those strategies.

This position will provide lead execution of creative content campaigns and initiatives through the development of creative content that enhances revenue streams through fan engagement and experience, brand awareness, advertising, and public relations strategies. This includes managing a team of photographers and videographers, overseeing scheduling and project workload. This work requires the ability to work a flexible schedule, including some evenings or weekends.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, or a closely-related field.

Three years of experience in working with digital communications channels, writing content, selecting photography and aligning timelines with strategic priorities.

Five years of experience in communications, to include photography and video production and playing a leadership role in their production.
Professional Competencies
Expert proficiency in photo processing software such as Photoshop.

Familiarity with computer software such as the Microsoft Office Suite, website development tools, such as content management systems, and text-level html.

Expertise with social media.

Commitment to and experience with promoting and enhancing diversity and equity.

Ability to communicate and work effectively with individuals from diverse background and cultures.

Demonstrated abilities creating digital audio and video files for the Web.

Expertise with budget planning and oversight.
Preferred Qualifications
Expert proficiency in professional video editing software (Final Cut X or Adobe Premiere) and other video editing software, such as AfterEffects.

Experience creating and producing basketball-related video content.
