The Emporia State University Student Wellness Center is seeking an individual with excellent clinical and outreach skills for the position of Counselor in Counseling Services. This position provides diagnosis and treatment of psychological disorders to college students. Additional requirements include developing both face-to-face and electronic presentations on mental health topics and consulting on mental health issues with faculty and staff.  This position is a 40 hour per week, year-round appointment.

Qualifications include a Master’s degree in counseling, social work, marriage and family therapy, or psychology. One year post graduate experience in diagnosing and treating mental disorders is preferred. Must be licensed, as an LPC, LMSW, LMLP, or LMFT with the Kansas Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board.  Excellent verbal and written communication skills, collaborative skills, and the willingness to adapt and respond to the changing needs of college students are essential.
