The Simpson College Teacher Education Department seeks a passionate, inventive STEM educator to inspire enthusiasm for the STEM fields, model creative instructional approaches, and instill in our pre-service teachers the confidence to be effective, inclusive, and engaged STEM educators.

This full-time, tenure track position begins in August, 2022 and requires a Ph.D. or Ed.D. (ABD candidates will be considered), or a Master’s degree with significant educational experience and a commitment to complete a terminal degree. The position also requires a strong background in science and mathematics education, experience with STEM curriculum, and successful PK-12 teaching experience. Successful PK-6 teaching experience is preferred. Candidates for the position must demonstrate potential for excellence in teaching and a willingness to engage students in scholarship, research and/or creative work. The ideal candidate will also have exemplary college teaching experience and experience integrating instructional technology across disciplines and will share the Teacher Education faculty’s commitment to innovative, socially, and culturally responsive teaching and research within an engaged liberal arts college community.
