Lecturer of Instructional Design & Technology

School of Instructional Technology and Innovation

 

Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for a nine-month, non-tenure track Lecturer of Instructional Design & Technology faculty position in the School of Instructional Technology and Innovation (SITI) beginning August 2022.

 

This lecturer position reports to the Director of the School of Instructional Technology and Innovation. This faculty member of Instructional Design will coordinate and teach courses within the Bachelor of Science in Instructional Design & Technology undergraduate program. This position may also teach graduate level courses in Instructional Technology. The focus of this program is to equip aspiring instructional designers for both the public and private sector. The lecturer will be expected to teach courses in face-to-face, off-site, and online learning environments. Additionally, the position will aid in the ongoing development of the program, including establishing internship partnerships, promoting the program, and refining program courses. Other duties associated with this position may include advising undergraduate and graduate students, recruitment of internship collaborations, mentoring undergraduate IDT students on program and career advancement, working with a diverse community, and serving on committees. This faculty member may also engage in other service commensurate with academic rank.

 

Required Qualifications Include

  • Earned master’s or terminal degree, or foreign equivalent, in Instructional Design or in a closely-related field; degree must be earned by date of
  • Experience in instructional design within the public or private
  • Evidence of the ability to teach instructional design and related concepts (e.g., multimedia production, online learning, human performance technology, etc. ) to aspiring instructional designers for both the public and private
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with colleagues in an interdisciplinary
  • Commitment to working in an environment that fosters

 

Preferred Qualifications Include

  • Earned D. or Ed.D. in Instructional Design or in a closely-related field by date of appointment.
  • Experience in designing and teaching face-to-face, hybrid, and/or online courses for higher
  • Experience in instructional design across business, industry, or
  • Experience with instructional design and multimedia production
  • PMP, CPTD, CPT or other recognized professional accreditation related to the field of instructional
  • Experience in coordinating projects, programs, or
  • Experience with designing for
