Provide in-person and/or online academic tutoring to students.

position is part time and works 6-10 hours a week.
Department Specific Essential Job Functions:
Academic and personal support to Upward Bound Central Prep
participants at target schools. Designs and delivers meaningful and
relevant academic tutoring in subject area assigned and certified.
Addresses individual learning styles (increasing strengths and

Requires a university degree in a related field or 4+ years of
equivalent work experience in chosen field that provides knowledge
of and exposure to fundamental theories, principles, and concepts.

experience in secondary schools. Succeeded in overcoming barriers

Reports directly to the Program Manager. Maintains accurate and
current student records. Adheres to all deadlines. Submits Tutorial
Report Forms and Attendance Summaries each month. Identifies and
recruits eligible students for participation in Upward Bound
Central Prep. Develops Individual Learning Plans (IEP). Monitors
students' progress, attendance, and behavior throughout the
semester. Assists participants with preparation for End of
Reasonable accommodations (in accordance with ADA requirements) may
be made, upon request, to enable individuals with disabilities to
perform essential functions.
