TheDirector of Transfer Admissionsupports and leads the strategy and direction for all transfer admission to the College for Women. Each year the College for Women transfer classes yield 200+ new students to the university. Join our team of high-energy Admission representatives and learn from women in leadership positions throughout the university! Responsibilities for the role include:
  • Work closely with Admission leaders to provide vision, strategic direction and innovative leadership, for transfer admission, establishing enrollment targets and acceptance parameters.
  • Develop transfer recruitment strategies to ensure the quantity and quality of undergraduate
  • College for Women transfer students.
  • Collaborate with colleagues within Admission to align strategies.
  • Partner with registrar, advising, financial aid, academic departments and more to support recruitment efforts.
  • Stay abreast of national best practices as well as demographic and institutional data, utilizing new approaches to improve transfer recruitment effectiveness.
  • Enthusiastically represent St. Catherine University to prospective College for Women transfer students and their families.
  • Be a subject matter expert regarding many aspects of the university including academic areas, student life, housing, development, etc.
  • Understand and accommodate the needs of a diverse group of students and their families including international students, traditional and non-traditional students, and racially and ethnically diverse students, responding quickly and efficiently.
  • Develop and implement transfer recruitment marketing strategies by pursuing an aggressive communication strategy using email, text, phone, print, etc.
  • Develop recommendations for increasing the yield of transfer applicants originating from four year colleges/universities.
  • Supervise and direct the work of transfer counselors representing the College for Women and the College for Adults.
  • Develop territory recruitment strategies and identify goals for the counselors as they recruit from community college fairs and visits.
  • Develop and implement reporting metrics and analysis; tracking all CfW transfer efforts and proposing changes to ensure recruitment targets are met.
  • Develop, direct and execute the transfer admission review process and make admission decisions for all CfW transfer students.
  • Stay informed on recruitment activities at peer institutions as well as local and regional public universities.
  • Manage a territory, making visits to community colleges and fairs.
  • Review transcripts to evaluate credit and develop course plans.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Six (6) years of experience in an admission office with progressive increases in scope of work and responsibilities.
  • Experience as a leader or manager.
  • Experience reviewing and analyzing data to make business decisions.
  • Experience presenting to and engaging audiences with widely diverse constituents.
  • Driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
