Compensation and Benefits

Anticipated Hiring Salary Range: $3,352 - $3,520 per month

Full CSU Classification Salary Range: $3,352 - $5,639 per month
  • This is a full-time (equivalent to 40 hours per week), probationary, non-exempt position.
The CSU system provides a comprehensive benefit package that includes medical, dental and vision plans, membership in the California Public Employees Retirement System (CalPERS), sick and vacation time, and 14 paid holidays a year. Job Summary

Reporting to the Director of Finance Administration and Global Operations and under general lead of the CGE Registrar, the Student Services Coordinator (Administrative Support Coordinator II), is responsible for providing a wide range of operational and procedural administrative support for the Division of Continuing and Global Education. Focused on student and customer service functions, the incumbent supports with student records, student financials and scheduling. Work is administrative in nature with duties covering both operational and program-oriented coordination, implementation and evaluation. Interpersonal contacts are varied and often at the higher level and tend to involve a broad range of problem-solving activities. Work involves a wide range of issues requiring use of reason and judgment, interpretation of policies, and contact with individuals at all levels of the University, while providing clerical and administrative support functions. Serves as the primary point of contact for students, faculty, staff, community members and others.

Key Qualifications
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other related computer software applications with demonstrated ability to be fully functional in technical aspects of work assignments, including proficiency in utilizing information management systems such as PeopleSoft (student administration, financial, HR, etc.), BOX, OnBase or similar data management system
  • Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must possess problem solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to organize and prioritize workload to ensure that work unit priorities and deadlines are met timely and accurately
  • Ability to handle effectively a broader range of interpersonal contacts, including those at a higher level and those sensitive or confidential in nature

Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum four years of recent professional office experience in a progressively responsible administrative position(s) within a large organizational structure and using up-to-date standard office equipment
  • Must meet the Passport Acceptance Agent requirements as stated in USCIS §51.22


Department Summary

The Division of Continuing and Global Education at Fresno State serves as the University's hub of access and innovation, providing educational opportunities to a wide array of audiences that would not be otherwise served by the institution. We accomplish this purpose by offering a wide variety of educational programs, including bachelor's and master's degrees, certificates, continuing education and professional development courses, personal enrichment classes, and global education programs such as intensive language development, study abroad, and academic exchanges.

Our division is administered by the Dean for Continuing and Global Education in accordance with applicable Executive Orders, Title V, and the California Code of Regulations. Through delegated authority, the Associate Dean, Assistant Vice President for International Affairs, and the Director of Finance, Administration and Global Operations oversee the academic and administrative functions of the Division, respectively.
