Position Summary:
A Financial Aid Operations Analyst manages EKU's compliance with federal, state and institutional financial aid programs, coordinates financial aid communications, analyzes financial aid data, oversees default management activities, and provides technical information system expertise to Student Financial Aid staff.

Minimum Education:
Certification or graduation from a four (4) year college or university.
Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Minimum Experience:
Three years of related work experience is required, preferably in higher education.

Requires in-depth knowledge of practices within a professional field or recognized body of knowledge and a working knowledge of the practical issues in related areas; originates reports using data that are subjective, difficult to measure, and require significant interpretation.

• Federal Regulations related to Federal Financial Aid
• General Accounting Procedures
• Collection Procedures
• Computer knowledge to include MS Office and relational databases
• Finance to include amortization tables, interest, and other financial calculations
• Customer and personal service
• Administration and Management techniques

Job Functions:
Ensure financial aid eligibility and payment compliance for federal, state, and institutional financial aid programs.
Conduct data analysis, develop reports, and maintain accurate information systems to ensure compliance and to support departmental operations.
Utilizes information systems and data necessary to effectively award students.
Ensures the effective operation of the Department by performing other duties as required.
