Elon University and the Biology Department invite applications for a tenure-track position teaching courses in support of the biology, neuroscience, and nursing programs, beginning in August 2022.  The ideal candidate will have a Ph.D. in a biological science with an active research program in non-mammalian neurobiology. Teaching responsibilities will include human anatomy and physiology, introductory cell biology, and neurophysiology.  Additional teaching responsibilities will include the occasional upper-level elective within Elon’s neuroscience program as well as science for non-majors and participation in Elon’s Core Curriculum. Curricular advising, service to the university, and continued professional activity involving undergraduate researchers are expected. Individuals with experience in non-mammalian neurobiology and a proven commitment to excellence in teaching are encouraged to apply. Candidates who have experience working with a diverse range of people and who can contribute to the climate of inclusivity are encouraged to identify their experiences in their cover letter.
