ASSISTANT TEACHING PROFESSOR, COMMUNICATION

Assistant Teaching Professors are full-time, 12-month, non-tenure-earning faculty positions. Successful applicants must be able to teach courses offered in face-to-face, online, and/or hybrid delivery methods. Three of these positions will have the FIU Modesto Maidique Campus as a primary work location and the other will have the FIU Biscayne Bay Campus as the primary work location.  However, teaching on any of the university campuses may be necessary.   

We seek candidates who are qualified to teach undergraduate courses within the Communication Studies areas, which may include the following areas of study: 

• Interpersonal communication,  
• Rhetoric and public address (including debate),  
• Intercultural communication,  
• Non-verbal communication,  

• Communication theory, and  
• Other areas of communication studies as needed.  

Minimum qualifications include the Master of Arts or a Master of Science Degree in Communication or related fields from an accredited university. Teaching experience at the university level is preferred.
