Position Summary:
The University of Maryland is seeking a Merchant Services Coordinator to manage the merchant
relationship with the bank and the related Payment Card Industry (PCI) compliance processes across the
University of Maryland. The Student Financial Services and Cashiering Office offers a variety of services
to the greater campus community including the support of the current PCI operations. The Merchant
Services Coordinator will be responsible for supporting these operations; working with necessary
vendors to maintain compliance while continuously improving the overall PCI efforts across campus. The
successful candidate must have demonstrated problem-solving skills, the ability to understand and solve
new problems, excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact at all levels
of the organization.

Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
At least 5 years of demonstrated experience in industry or academic settings.
Demonstrated knowledge of payment card processing, eCommerce systems, payment devices and PCI

Master’s Degree
Knowledge of Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI-DSS)
2+ years of experience in higher education
