The Digital Content Manager administers and implements digital content on AEA websites and other digital platforms. This position supports major campaign initiatives as well as leads smaller digital projects that support campaign and unit goals. This position will read, analyze and edit submitted copy and graphics and will implement the assets on content management systems and applications while ensuring the integrity of the content.

The Digital Content Manager must be a team player, possessing outstanding communication skills, be able to execute multiple projects at once/multitask and be able to build healthy cross-functional relationships. The manager acts as a resource to current content editors for AEA website content updates. He/ She must be proficient with AP style, manage all forms of content, including strategic web content that achieves desired outcomes. Must be able to create, edit and optimize image assets. Possess strong editing and proofreading skills with accessibility and usability in mind. Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in design or similar field.
  • Experience working in higher education preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years experience working with content management systems. Anthology Encompass and Cascade CMS preferred.
  • Experience working in environments that require adherence to stringent regulations/procedures.
  • Minimum two years working with Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Background and familiarity with graphic design.
  • Basic understanding of HTML and accessibility ( WCAG 2.1 AA).
  • Strong, clear editing and proofreading skills for the web are essential.
  • Experience with digital usability, AP Style and Google Analytics.
  • Proficient in developing instructions, documentation and user training.
  • Strong customer service skills both in-person and remote support using various forms of technology.

  • Ability to multitask, including coordinating multiple projects in addition to other daily duties is necessary.
Responsibilities
Create /build microsites for large fundraising/campaign initiatives as well as large events including but not limited to Boost the ¿Cuse, Make Your Mark, Coming Back Together and Orange Central. This includes reading, analyzing, and editing provided copy following AP Style and SU guidelines for improved user consumption. Using a variety of content management systems, implement the layout of content ensuring optimal user experience and complying with WCAG (2.1 AA) standards as well as improving website performance, maintaining digital assets and ensuring brand compliance.

Lead small scale digital projects including but not limited to school/college/unit CuseFunders and custom giving page initiatives, which will require partnering and collaborating with stakeholders across the institution. Oversee and execute multiple projects simultaneously. Make recommendations on content received for an engaging online presence, while also ensuring WCAG (2.1 AA) and brand compliance. Work effectively under tight deadlines and changing priorities.

Act as a resource to current content editors for AEA website content updates. Conduct regular content audits and make recommendations for outdated information. Resources to support include the main giving/campaign site, ¿Cuse Community, AEA regional sites and department sites.

Edit and optimize photos and images and create new graphics for digital use across digital platforms, including Encompass and Cascade.

Assist with changes to secure giving forms, including updates to imagery, descriptions, confirmation emails and funds. Physical Requirements Tools/Equipment Application Instructions
