Job Summary
The Office of Advancement and the College of Veterinary Medicine are conducting a search for a Development Coordinator who can effectively coordinate all aspects of Veterinary Medicine Development related programs, services, and fundraisers. The ideal candidate is a collaborative, organized and energetic professional with strong multi-tasking skills and sound judgement who can help raise philanthropic support for the College of Veterinary Medicine Development Office.
Essential Functions
1. Plans, develops or assists in the execution of programs/services/fundraisers.
2. Coordinates, plans, and organizes events to include activities such as set-up, selecting speakers, and/or negotiating contractual obligations for resources and logistical considerations.
3. Monitors and may develop programs/services budget and ensures programs/services are operating within specifications.
4. Prepares itineraries and makes travel arrangements for those involved in related Development programs/services.
5. Creates and maintains records of prospects, contacts, and constituents.
6. Identifies, screens, and recommends individuals, corporations, and foundations which qualify as prospective donors to and/or volunteers.
7. Provides information to staff, students, constituents concerning Auburn University Development issues and concerns through presentation, inquiry response, and/or memorandums/letters.
8. May develop and oversee the marketing function for assigned development programs including (but not limited to) brochures, newsletters, web site and news releases.
9. Receives and resolves inquiries and problems.
10. Creates and maintains donor relations, solicitation and development.

The candidate selected for this position should have a demonstrated ability to work successfully with diverse stakeholders, have evidence of success in cultivating and maintaining collaborative relationships, and possess superior organizational skills; the desire to work independently as well as in a collaborative team-based environment.
Must be able and willing to work some weekends and evenings. Occasional travel may be required.
