Job Description:

The Department of Psychology at Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts (MCLA) invites applications for a full time (9 month) tenure track Assistant Professor position in Psychology (open area) beginning September 1, 2022. The successful candidate will have teaching and research expertise focusing on race, human sexuality, or gender through an intersectional lens, reflecting MCLA's ongoing commitment to bring diversity, equity, and inclusion to the curriculum.

Responsibilities will include teaching courses in the candidate's field of expertise, Statistics, and Research Methods. Advising students, participating in committees, and mentoring of undergraduate research are also components of the position.

  • Applicants should hold a Ph.D. in Psychology or related field (Psy.D. and ABD candidates considered)
  • Demonstrated commitment to undergraduate teaching and fostering undergraduate research
  • Prior teaching experience is desirable

  • Active participation in the shared governance process at departmental, specialized committees, and college-wide levels
