The University of South Carolina Lancaster, a regional campus of the University of South Carolina located approximately thirty-five (35) miles south of Charlotte, NC seeks candidates for a tenure-track faculty position in Art/Graphic Design beginning August 16, 2022.
The position requires a Master in Fine Arts degree including credentials necessary for departmental approval to teach introductory art courses, as well as upper-division art courses as needed.
The position will normally require the teaching of twelve credit hours per semester or its equivalent. In addition to teaching foundational history courses for freshmen and sophomore students, there are opportunities to teach upper division courses in the University’s Palmetto College online bachelor’s degree programs.
Scholarship, advising, and university/community service is expected. Preference will be given to candidates with experience teaching at the university level. The successful candidate will be expected to engage in community outreach programs.
