University of Washington Department of Anesthesiology & Pain Medicine has an academic anesthesiologist position available at the rank of Assistant Professor without tenure (WOT), Associate Professor WOT or Professor WOT due to reason of funding.  Salary and academic appointment at University of Washington will be commensurate with experience, qualifications, and academic rank.  This position is without tenure and is full-time with a 12-month service period (July 1-June 30).  The anticipated start date is April 2022 or thereafter.  Duties include the teaching of residents, fellows and medical students and supervision of clinical care team on the cardiothoracic anesthesiology service.  Successful candidate will provide cardiothoracic anesthesia services.  University of Washington faculty engage in teaching, research and service.

 

Qualifications

Must have MD or DO degree (or foreign equivalent).  Must have a minimum of one-year fellowship training (or foreign equivalent) in cardiothoracic anesthesiology.  Must be Board certified or eligible (or foreign equivalent) in anesthesiology and must be eligible for medical licensure in the state of Washington.  In order to be eligible for University sponsorship for an H-1B visa, graduates of foreign (non-US) medical schools must show successful completion of all three steps of the US Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE), or equivalent as determined by the Secretary of Health and Human Services.
