Baruch College – Assistant Professor – History
Job Description:
The Department of History at Baruch College, City University of
New York, invites applications for a tenure-track assistant
professorship in African American history, specialization open. PhD
required by August 2022, when employment begins; ABD considered.
Candidates should have a record of research and teaching that
demonstrates a commitment to diversity, equity, and
inclusion.
The successful candidate will be expected to teach introductory
courses in American history and advanced seminars in African
American history at the undergraduate level. The candidate will
also be expected to be research active and participate in
departmental programs and service.
Baruch College, located in the historic Gramercy Park neighborhood
of Manhattan, is a senior
college in the City University of New York, with roughly 15,000
undergraduate and 3,000
graduate students.
