The College of Lake County ( CLC ) is seeking a part-time flex Apprenticeship Program Associate. The Apprenticeship Program Associate will assist the Executive Director and Apprenticeship Manager of the Career and Job Placement Center ( CJPC ) with students, faculty and employers’ engagement in the Apprenticeship Programs.

This position will assist with marketing, apprentice, faculty engagement, orientations, etc. This includes collaborating with internal stakeholders to project manage grant activities, assist with connecting with external stakeholders to interpret and implement grant requirements, evaluate the effectiveness of activities, create and submit grant reports.

*Please note, this is grant funded position, employment will continue and be based upon funding by Hunter Family Foundation ( HFF ).

Required Qualification
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Good oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to plan and prioritize work requirements and demonstrate independent decision-making capabilities.
• Experience working with students from diverse ethnic, socio-economic and educational backgrounds.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and other similar software.
• Ability to develop and enhance collaborative partnerships to aid in recruitment of students.
• Proven ability to work effectively and constructively with persons of diverse cultures, language groups, and abilities; demonstrate sensitivity to and ability to work with the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural and ethnic backgrounds of community college students, faculty, and staff, including those with disabilities; establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work. Desired Qualifications
• Associate Degree
• Experience working within a community college.
• Proficient in writing, speaking, and reading English.

Department Operations – 35%
• Assist in planning, implementing, monitoring, and reporting on current apprenticeship programs.
• Create, implement and monitor marketing, apprentice, and faculty engagement for the Apprenticeship Program.
• Assist with Pre-Apprenticeship and Apprenticeship Programs
· Assist with education/training to appropriately prepare students for apprenticeship opportunities.
· Assist with identifying, recruiting, supporting and retaining participants in the grant program.
· Collaborate with internal/external stake holders.
· Assist in updating the apprenticeship recruitment, registration, and case management processes.

Project Assistance – 15%
• Assist with apprentice support activities such as, program questions. ordering books, course progress reports.
· Prepare project plans and reports for grant reporting.

Administrative Responsibilities – 45%
• Collaborate with Career Services Specialists to assist apprentices with career readiness skills and career talks.
• Comply with all grant, state, and federal requirements for apprentices.
• This position will assist with programs supported by both public and private funding for the apprenticeship programs.

Other – 5%
