About the Opportunity:
The Executive Assistant to the SVP and General Counsel provides direct support for the General Counsel and other designated members of the office. The EA is the primary point of contact and a liaison for the General Counsel's Office to both internal and external constituencies. This individual plays an integrating role across the various functions of the office to ensure that the support needs of the SVP and General Counsel are being met.

Responsibilities:
10% Each day the General Counsel's office is contacted by individuals who wish to express a concern or a complaint, seeking the General Counsel's intervention on their behalf. Handling this responsibility requires diplomacy, tact, and patience. Since resolutions sometimes require a number of contacts over a period of time, it is necessary to manage these concerns carefully. 10%

50% Provides executive-level support for the SVP and General Counsel and serves as his primary contact in the day-to-day management of his activities. He/she integrates the support functions of the office to serve the needs and interests of the SVP in managing scheduling and logistics, and the flow of necessary information to facilitate the smooth functioning of these activities.

40% The Executive Assistant directly manages SVP and General Counsel mail and correspondence, handles requests for the SVP to attend meetings/events, maintains contacts, completes phone follow-up, handles email responses, ensures the flow of information to and from various.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree preferred; minimum 10 years of progressively responsible administrative experience, with at least 3 - 5 years executive level support; strong managerial and organizational skills, as well as excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills essential. Ability to be flexible while managing multiple responsibilities. Ability to work as part of a team. Position requires an extensive time commitment. Candidates must have experience in or demonstrated commitment to fostering an inclusive environment and working with diverse populations.
