The Executive Director of Development and Alumni Relations provides coordinated, strategic and organizational direction to alumni relations and annual giving programs to meet institutional goals through education, fundraising, engagement, and outreach of the College’s alumni, parents, and friends. Fundraising work includes developing and executing annual giving efforts for the unrestricted fund and restricted giving opportunities, overseeing the leadership annual giving program, implementing new technologies to effectively identify and engage donors, directing data management initiatives, and managing giving societies. Alumni work includes developing a comprehensive alumni relations program involving events, a volunteer program (including management of the Alumni Executive Board), alumni communication strategy, and other outreach initiatives.


Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree is required
• Demonstrated customer service orientation with success working with nonprofit constituencies and volunteers
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to interact effectively and professionally with alumni, donors, prospects, faculty, staff, and current students
• Demonstrated attention to detail combined with the ability to organize, prioritize, solve problems and negotiate effectively
• Excellent computer skills with Microsoft Office and Banner experience desirable
• High degree of professional confidentiality expected

Experience
• Five+ years of experience working with clients, customers, donors, or alumni, preferably in a higher education setting
• Demonstrated event-planning and fundraising experience
