Job Description:

The Baldwin Nursing Program at Siena College is seeking applicants for a full-time tenure-track

position at the rank of an Assistant Professor beginning September 1, 2022.

 

About the Baldwin Nursing Program at Siena College:

The Baldwin Nursing Program at Siena College provides an education that is congruent with the

Siena College mission and learning goals and offers nurses a broader humanistic caring

perspective of the discipline of nursing. The Nursing program integrates a caring science

curriculum with Franciscan values and a strong education in the liberal arts and sciences. With a

focus on mindful learning, reflective practice, and the importance of self-care, our caring science

teaching-learning philosophy supports an authentic environment to enhance the student’s

understanding of social, cultural, economic, and political issues that impact health care.

 

The Siena College Department of Nursing is a dynamic and growing program and is accepting

applications for a tenure track Assistant Professor of Nursing to begin in Fall of 2022 to teach in

the upper division baccalaureate nursing program. Candidates also will be expected to assist with

student advising & recruitment and to perform other service to the College. For more

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have a research doctorate in nursing (Ph.D., DNS, or other). Applicants

must demonstrate a commitment to excellence in teaching (both classroom and hybrid platforms)

using a Caring Science philosophy. Additionally, candidates for this Tenure Track line are asked

to provide evidence of an active scholarship program. A minimum of three (3) years teaching in

baccalaureate nursing is preferred. A background screening will be required.
