Filled on an as-needed basis, depending on course offerings,
enrollment, and specific department needs. Applications will stay
active for 1 year.
The Educational Assistant, Copy Center performs a full range of
operations and administrative tasks in the Copy Center and assists
with the maintenance and support of the campus copier fleet.
Examples of duties include operation of mechanical duplicating and
finishing equipment, making minor repairs, identifying duplicating
problems, understanding and effectively carrying out oral and
written instructions, and utilizing computer software.
Incumbents must possess a proven ability to effectively work with a
culturally, linguistically, and ethnically diverse faculty, staff,
and student. They are expected to have excellent oral and written
communication skills along with strong Information technology
literacy skills such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook,
Associate degree in an appropriately related field, 2 (two) years
Successful Candidate must have or must possess:
- Ability to operate various automated and/or mechanical
duplicating and finishing equipment.
- Ability to make minor repairs.
- Ability to identify duplicating problems
- Ability to utilize computer software such as Windows, Microsoft
Office, and Adobe Acrobat
- Supervisory ability.

- Three (3) or more years working experience in a copy center
- Experience with Canon varioPRINT and Uniflow
- Experience with binding, booklets, and lamination
- Some experience with editing and Office applications such as
Adobe Acrobat, Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Microsoft Word, and

Under the direction of the Director of IT or another administrator,
the Copy Center Educational Assistant may supervise students’
workers and effective performance in these essential functional

- Oversees daily maintenance of equipment.
- Operate automated and/or mechanical duplicating and finishing
- Convert hardcopy documents to electronic files.
- Maintain, support, and repair equipment as needed.
