* Master’s degree in counseling, student development, or related field, OR
* Master’s degree in a related discipline plus a minimum of 18 graduate credit hours in counseling, student development, or related field. Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Preference will be given to individuals who possess :
* Career and personal counseling knowledge or experience.
* Evidence of presentation skills on personal/academic topics.
* Experience with diverse populations (including but not limited to ethnicity, socio-economic status, age, gender role, etc.)
* A college student development focus (e.g. first year experience interventions) versus a background providing predominantly mental health services.
* Knowledge of diverse learning styles, classroom management issues, and/or providing consultation regarding academic success concerns.
* Ability to handle crisis-counseling situation including suicide assessment skills.
* Experience with the use of technology in the provision of counseling services (e.g. career software, cyber-counseling, web-assisted career classes).
Work Hours
This position is full time hours, but of Limited Duration for one semester—1/6/2022 through 5/20/2022.
Normally scheduled Monday through Friday; however, may be required to work other shifts to include evenings and/or weekends. Schedule subject to change based upon department needs.
Compensation Salary is commensurate with education and experience. Special Instructions to Applicants

Brief Description of Duties:
Full-time faculty position responsible for providing career, educational and personal counseling to individuals and in group settings. Assist students in their adjustment to college. Do crisis intervention as needed. Teach career planning workshops. Provide consultation to personnel (faculty, staff, and administration).
