Job Summary:

The Business Development Manager reports to the Director, Employer Engagement for the Undergraduate Career Engagement Team at the Wisconsin School of Business in a new role that supports strategic initiatives of the Undergraduate Program to support student career success.

The role partners with a team of internal stakeholders to create a go-to market strategy for employer development in targeted growth areas and establish new relationships with employers and alums in support of student career outcomes. The individual in this role develops data driven strategies and outreach plans to identify high potential employers who do not currently engage with our program and align with student career goals. Employer and student contact at multiple levels is integral to the success of this role. The Business Development Manager also coordinates with student organizations, advisory boards and academic departments through the Career Forward initiative, promoting the School of Business brand while sharing development information.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

- 2 years' experience in industry setting, focused on sales, business or partnership development. Preferred industries include technology and consulting.
- Strong experience with MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience with Salesforce or other CRM system is a plus.
- Knowledge of business industries and functions.
- High level of professionalism, follow-through, teamwork, flexibility and comfort with change and ambiguity.
- Superior written and verbal communication skills and significant presentation experience.
- Ability to travel up to 30% in-state and out-of-state.
- Ability to work some evenings and early morning during peak season.
