Under the direction of the Director of Evaluation and Assessment, the Institutional Evaluation Analyst ( IEA ) collaborates on the design and conduct of statistical analyses related to academic and institutional program evaluation data at the Geisel School of Medicine. The IEA is primarily responsible for managing the output of analyses and reporting for program evaluation across Geisel’s MD and MPH programs, ensuring that all data and information are reported accurately. The IEA provides analyses and summative reports for program evaluation data. - 4 + years of relevant experience
- 3 + years of experience in research data/analysis
- Ability to collaborate in academic/medical education research
- Ability to work with various databases to query, extract and analyze data
- Ability to provide written and analytical contributions for complex academic reports and other technical documents, including summary information
- Ability to deal effectively with divergent points of view
- Ability to plan schedules to accomplish multiple tasks
- Ability to set priorities and to make independent decisions within the scope of program guidelines
- Demonstrates a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Commitment to diversity and to serving the needs of a diverse population
- Excellent skills in Microsoft Excel and competency in Microsoft Word
- Experience with survey tools include Qualtrics, Survey Monkey, etc.
- Exercise discretion and judgment in performing duties
- Organizational, problem solving, and synthesizing skills
- Strong communication skills (written and oral)
- Tact, diplomacy, and respect for confidentiality
- 5 to 7 years’ experience in an analyst role
- Master’s degree in a related field.
- Experience using statistical software, such as: SPSS, SAS or other statistical application
- Experience using data visualization tools, such as PowerBI or Tableau
- Familiarity with medical terminology

Key Accountabilities
Description
- Under the leadership of the Director of Evaluation and Assessment, manages the administration, tracking, and analysis of program evaluation across the MD and MPH programs.
- Coordinates the collection and analysis of academic datasets connected to surveys, evaluations, and assessment outcomes to ensure effective program evaluation and academic/medical education research
- Produces routine reports across the institution, including Medical Education Committee Reviews, Annual End of Year report, PGY -1 report, USMLE performance reporting, AAMC and CEPH Survey reporting, and others, as identified by the Evaluation and Assessment team, in collaboration with Geisel academic leadership
- Gathers, maintains, compiles, analyzes, and reports on institutional data as well as data for peer and other external institutions for comparative and benchmark analyses
- Contributes to data visualization discussion and decisions
- Develops and produces written and oral presentations for Geisel administration and external agencies
- Implements data management and quality control procedures, including preparation of technical manuals to support cross-training within department
- Keeps pace with the evolution of relevant statistical analyses and software applications
- Contributes to evaluation plans and benchmarking under the direction of the Director of Evaluation and Assessment
- Supports the planning and implementation of quality improvement projects to uphold the character and integrity of evaluation systems.
