Digital Engagement Coordinator

Reports to: Assistant Vice President, Temple Health Institutional Advancement

Summary of Position: The Digital Engagement Coordinator will create and deploy a sophisticated communications suite across several program areas in support of the philanthropic priorities of the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University and Temple Health. Key responsibilities include managing the Temple Health Institutional Advancement communications calendar and building and deploying sophisticated and content-rich email communications, web, digital and social media content in partnership with the Alumni and Constituent Engagement, Annual Giving, Donor Relations and Events teams. The Digital Engagement Coordinator will support data management, reporting, event management, and writing and updating relevant web content for alumni and giving areas of the Katz School of Medicine and Temple Health websites.

Essential Functions of Position:

  • Maintain the THIA communications calendar
  • Collaborate with Central Institutional Advancement to ensure timely approval and deployment of THIA campaign and event emails, newsletters and other communications as needed
  • Build and deploy digital communications not routed through Central Institutional Advancement
  • Maintain up-to-date contact lists for key constituent and leadership groups including boards, dean’s staff etc.
  • Support event registration processes as needed
  • Manage and maintain email marketing software (Mailchimp), handling imports/exports, list management and reporting
  • Help maintain the THIA image and video database and channels, and serve as the primary contact person for sourcing media for use across all program areas, including giving campaigns, proposals, giving-centric social posts, etc.
  • Make routine updates to giving content on LKSOM and Temple Health giving, planned giving, alumni and other third-party fundraising/event management/social media sites.
  • Support the creation of original web, email, and social content as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Skills:

Bachelor’s degree and 1-3 years’ experience with digital marketing, proficiency in all Microsoft Office products, particularly Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel; Adobe Creative Suite, Google Analytics, and email marketing software. Strong writing skills and demonstrated ability to work independently under general supervision and highly motivated, with a continued willingness to develop new skills. Graphic design and/or video production skills a plus.  Ability to work nights and/or weekends, as needed.

This position is currently assigned a hybrid work arrangement (on- campus and remote), the duration of this hybrid work arrangement is at the discretion of Temple University and the Department.
