Open Rank Professor of Nursing

Wellstar School of Nursing

 

Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for a twelve-month, tenure track, open rank nursing faculty position in the Wellstar School of Nursing beginning July 1, 2022. Rank is determined at the time of hiring and will be commensurate with experience.

 

Responsibilities Include

  • Provide leadership and operational support for the design, implementation, and ongoing evaluation of interprofessional curricula within the school
  • Teach coursework focused on interprofessional education and support colleagues’ initiatives across the spectrum of WSON degree programs
  • participate in ongoing curricular assessment, scholarly activities, and service in departmental, college, and university committees
  • Program development expectations
  • Recruitment expectations
  • Dissertation/thesis supervision
  • Student teaching/clinical supervision
  • Advising
  • Working with a diverse community

 

Required Qualifications Include

  • An earned research focused doctoral degree, or a foreign equivalent, in nursing or a related Candidates who did not complete a BSN to PhD degree must possess a master’s degree, or a foreign equivalent, in nursing or a related field. BSN to PhD graduates are not required to hold a master’s degree.
  • Candidates must have a clinical background in adult health, community health, and/or psychiatric/mental
  • Faculty must have the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues in team-taught

 

Preferred Qualifications Include

  • Prior teaching experience
  • Evidence of scholarship and creative activities
  • Prior success in obtaining intramural or extramural funding
