Bulk Mail Assistant to the Manager



Shenandoah University’s Office of Bulk Mail and Duplicating Services is accepting applications for a Bulk Mail Assistant to the Manager. This is a full-time, 12 month benefited position located on our main campus in Winchester, Virginia.

Responsibilities:
  • Processing automated mailings using BCC Software-Bulk Mailer/Professional
  • High comfort level in various computer software such as Windows Platform, Adobe-Acrobat, Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop and Excel.
  • File editing and proofreading files before production are essential of this position
  • Assist the Bulk Mail Manager with tasks as requested and assume the role of manager during absences, including authorization to sign all official documents on their behalf when on personal, vacation or sick leave
  • Responsible for data entry using Ellucian Colleague system for department charges
  • Process copier counts for university machines
  • Flexibility to work additional hours when needed to cover during vacation and high volume periods
Required Skills

Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Good telephone skills
  • Knowledge of general office routine
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds
  • Must be responsible and dependable
  • Must be able to work without supervision, oversee and supervise operations
  • Must be able to work as part of a team and independently on projects
