Opportunity: to lead the development and implementation of proactive diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives that will support the College’s strategic plans. 

Responsibilities: Lead the development of effective strategy that champions the importance and value of a diverse and inclusive College environment by engaging faculty, staff and students to build a welcoming and inclusive culture by promoting the College commitment to a climate of equity and inclusion through interaction with individuals and agencies inside and outside the College.

Assess potential barriers and develop strategies focused on recruitment and retention; participate in and advise the College’s recruitment and retention of underrepresented groups.

Liaise with the Office of Equal Opportunity/Compliance and Title IX as the Affirmative Action Facilitator for the College; coordinate with College leadership to create, implement and monitor programs designed to ensure fair and equitable treatment of students, faculty and staff; coordinate with the DEI Training Lab to promote cultural understanding and competency and a climate of equity and inclusion. Lead the College’s DEIA Council and Diversity Strategic Plan

Minimum Qualifications: Master’s degree in Higher Education or a relevant field. OR Bachelor’s degree with two years’ professional experience working with underrepresented populations.
