THE ROLE
The project manager acts like an air-traffic controller,
coordinating all project aspects to ensure everything is thought
through and delivered beautifully, on time and on budget. The
project manager proactively oversees and directs multiple projects
simultaneously – from short-term, quick-turn initiatives to
longer-term, integrated endeavors – and ensures they meet or exceed
expectations from inception to delivery. The project manager
interfaces with team members regularly by setting up and driving
team meetings, creating schedules, project documentation, and
seeing that the right information is communicated to team members
or vendors.
RESPONSIBILITIES

Acts as an agency advocate internally
and externally.
Scopes timelines and drafting
proposals.
Keeps projects on-quality, on-time
and on-budget.
Breaks down complexity into
actionable tasks, decisions and outcomes.
Optimizes project processes,
documentation and communication.
Facilitates projects from estimation
through launch and ongoing execution.
Manages project-related
freelancers/contractors.
Ensures vendor quotes align with
project budgets and deliverables are met.
Maintains and monitors project
budgets and schedules daily.
Informs all parties of any changes to
scope/assumptions/issues that arise.
Anticipates issues and sets
mitigation plans in place or course corrects before they
occur.
Maintains client projects in approved
technology - technologically proficient.
Schedules appropriately based on
staffing and capacity projections.
Works closely and collaboratively
with project leads to ensure changing resource and project
requirements are addressed – including identification and
documentation of any changes in scope.
Facilitates effective and efficient
meetings and discussions with clearly stated objectives, ensuring
they stay on track and lead to a solution, decision or next
steps.
Leads project debriefs to identify
successes and failures, identify action items and drive
improvements to course correct or to benefit future projects.
Motivates staff and project teams,
inspires teamwork, and takes a leadership role.

YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
-
Minimum of 3 years of project
management experience, preferably at an agency or a branding firm
or with creative teams. (Education marketing experience is a plus).
Media buying experience is not needed.
Workamajig expertise required, along
with proficiency in the Google suite of online applications, Asana,
Basecamp and/or other project management software.
Knows how to prioritize work, with a
great instinct for what moves the needle.
Has solid experience with content
strategy, marketing and creative work in both traditional and
digital processes.
Because many of our clients are mandated to require vaccines and because much of our work requires us to work on-site at educational institutions, a condition of employment at Zehno is to require vaccines recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
