About the Opportunity:
The Department of Art + Design is looking for a new Administrative Officer.

Responsibilities:
This position, reports directly to the Deputy Chair and oversees the daily operations of the Art + Design department. This position is responsible for management of the operating budget, human resources, and financial activities of the department. S/he will work with the Department & Deputy Chair on departmental initiatives. This position also supports the HRM/Payroll, budget, and office needs for the faculty, staff and researchers of the Department. The position will work to ensure overall effectiveness in the areas of business administration and support to the chair.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree required; Masters preferred. A minimum of 2 to 5 years of relevant administrative experience is required. Experience in academic fields relevant to art, media arts and design preferred. Strong background in business administration and budget management. Solid interpersonal, intellectual, organizational, project management, and communication skills are essential. Ability to multitask and take initiative. Competent in using Microsoft office programs, Banner, PageUp, EPAF, and Concur.
