About the Opportunity:
Founded in 1922, the D'Amore-McKim School of Business at Northeastern University offers a unique model of business education that purposely blends innovative classroom learning with real-world business application. At the undergraduate level, both the BS in Business Administration and the BS in International Business programs offer students the opportunity to develop into highly motivated business leaders. Graduate students and corporate learners can choose from several different certificate and full-time and part-time MBA and MS programs designed to enable motivated professionals to accelerate their success in business. The school is committed to embedding a global mindset into all of these programs, as well as in its research and outreach activities.

Responsibilities:
The position of the Assistant Director of Yield & Admitted Student Programs is responsible for the management of new student onboarding and transition at the D'Amore-McKim School of Business. The Assistant Director (AD) works with admissions to collaborate on the strategy and execution of student acquisition activities, including open house events and business day events. The AD will also be responsible for the creation of webinars, panel discussions, and interactive programs for prospective and admitted students throughout the application process and yield cycle. Student onboarding and transition begins upon admission to the D'Amore-McKim School of Business and concludes with successful completion of their first year at Northeastern. The AD will facilitate and conduct all meetings with prospective students, as well as coordinate class visits for admitted students. The AD will communicate Orientation information and begin tracking data for the incoming students, including those admitted to the N.U.in Program. The AD is also responsible for managing the creation of student schedules and organizing materials for advising sessions. The AD uses this continuous interaction with students to identify, and help create, targeted developmental programs for this population.

The AD will work as the direct contact for various departments on campus that facilitate the yield process such as Admissions, Orientation, NUin, Residential Life, Communications, etc. The AD is a major part of the academic support system for first-year undergraduate students at D'Amore-McKim. The AD will work collaboratively with the leadership team in the Undergraduate Programs Office to manage areas/projects that overlap to ensure consistency in messaging. The AD will be a liaison to the D'Amore-McKim Communications team to identify storytelling opportunities and student representatives for content across channels and events. They will serve as the main point of contact for students in transition from multiple pipeline programs such as NU Bound, NU Immerse, etc.

Qualifications:
A Masters' degree is required. A minimum of 6 years of advising experience in a college or university setting or commensurate experience as determined by Assistant Dean of Undergraduate Programs office is required. The Assistant Director - must have strong, organizational, analytical, and written and verbal communication skills with proven ability to edit and proofread documents; be able to think creatively; pay close attention to detail; and work independently as well as part of a team. Must demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrates the ability to work well with a diverse population of students and colleagues. Must be comfortable presenting to groups of students and parents in both virtual and in-person settings. Student program management experience is a plus.
