Position Summary:

The Fitness Center Coordinator will manage the on-campus fitness center including scheduling student workers.

Incumbents must possess proven ability to effectively work with a culturally, linguistically, and ethnically diverse faculty, staff, and student. They are expected to have excellent oral and written communication skills along with strong Information technology literacy skills such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams etc.)

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in a related field.

Successful Candidate must have or must possess:
  • Experience working independently
  • Experience handling confidential information
  • Experience in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience in Customer Service

Preferred Qualifications:
  • One (1) or more years’ working experience in a fitness center
  • One (1) or more years’ experience planning wellness and educational programs
  • CPR, First Aid and AED certification
Example of Job Duties:
Under the direction of the Dean of Student Services or other administrator, the Fitness Center Coordinator is accountable for promoting diversity initiatives through coordinating and assisting in the planning of various cultural, wellness, and educational programs, assist in preparing materials (flyers, programs, visual displays, etc.) for each event, maintaining Fitness Center logs, files, supply inventory and cleanliness of the gym and maintain operational hours of the fitness center, schedule and manage student workers.

The Fitness Center Coordinator must be flexible and available to work on occasional evenings with adjustment made to their schedule to stay within the maximum 17hrs/week schedule.

Salary:
$32.14 hourly
