Job Summary

The Charles D. Close School of Entrepreneurship is seeking an Assistant Director of Recruitment and Retention. This position comprises a broad spectrum of competencies related to developing and delivering academic programming to various constituencies. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong analytical, organizational, and inter-personal capabilities within the field of entrepreneurship education. The Assistant Director of Recruitment and Retention, in consultation with an Associate Dean, is responsible for ongoing outreach and program growth, quality, and improvement. Together they will build and sustain positive relationships with regional and national partners, prospective and enrolled students, and university offices.

Required Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's degree required.
  • 5-7 years of directly related experience is required.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong business development skills with experience in high school outreach, relationship management, and program development.
  • Strong work ethic, demonstrated professionalism and a track record of establishing positive client relationships.
  • Extremely organized, pay close attention to detail, work as part of a team, and be able to work on multiple projects at the same time to meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills are needed in order to work with students at both high-school and college levels, and faculty members.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills required and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment (with frequent interruptions) where multi-tasking is the norm.
  • Ability to work effectively with multiple constituencies such as Drexel staff, students, and external constituencies such as high-schools, Drexel alumni, and or regional employers.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required. Proficiency with MS office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • A Master's degree is preferred.
  • Experience with managing programs or projects involving people who may or may not report to you is preferred.
