About the Office for Experiential Learning
Supporting the LeBow College of Business’ commitment to academic-industry partnership, the Dana and David Dornsife Office for Experiential Learning connects and serves both students and organizations. Through innovative curricula, international travel, and co-curricular programming, the office offers practical experiences for undergraduate and graduate students while providing business impact to local, national and international industry partners.
Job Summary
Adjunct faculty will guide students in business consulting projects for partner organizations. Adjunct faculty will work with a staff member from the Dornsife Office for Experiential Learning who will provide support and facilitate interactions between the class and partner organization. Responsibilities may include teaching days, evenings, nights and weekends, with the potential for online only, in-person only, or a combination of both. Courses may occur during the fall, winter, spring, or summer terms.
Essential Functions
- Plan, organize, and deliver instruction to promote student success
- Support and promote the college and departmental missions centered on excellence in teaching and learning through quality instruction
- Provide students with frequent, timely assessment of and clear feedback regarding academic performance
- Document student progress and maintain accurate records such as attendance, grading and achievement of student learning outcomes.
- Respect student confidentiality and privacy as per appropriate university rules
- Maintain appropriate office hours proportionate to the instructional assignment.
- Collaborate with staff from Dornsife Office for Experiential Learning to facilitate interactions with partner organization.
- Ensure quality of final report and presentation deliverables for partner organization.
- A Master’s or Ph.D. in the relevant academic field
- Teaching experience preferred
- Publications or conference presentations preferred
- Strong interpersonal, observational, and communication skills
