The Digital Learning Technology Specialist works as part of the
Instructional Design & Technology team to enhance the teaching
and learning environment at the college. The Specialist will
collaborate with faculty to analyze and implement digital solutions
in the fulfillment of teaching and learning objectives, provide
specialized training, instruction, advice and guidance in the
application of innovative technology to support the College mission
and goals, and will explore, evaluate, recommend and implement
emerging technologies that may foster new modes of learning. The
Specialist contributes to faculty and staff development by
organizing events such as workshops, learning communities, and
seminars on topics of relevance to the college community.
The candidate should have a Master's degree in Instructional
Technology or a related field, and be familiar with emerging trends
in educational technology and online learning.
The candidate should have a minimum of two years of experience
working in higher education in a position directly related to
faculty support for instructional technology/digital learning
Contributing to faculty development opportunities (ex.
one-on-one sessions, workshops, learning communities, creation of
resource guides and documentation).
Implementing e-learning software programs and digital tools
(ex. Canvas, Adobe Creative Suite or comparable e-tools)
