Job Summary:

The Zhao Laboratory focuses on translating high-throughput molecular data into biological insights and clinical biomarkers for cancer. We primarily generate and analyze NGS data from cancer samples. You will be responsible for designing and executing complex integrated computational research projects. This will include creating and maintaining computational pipelines for a wide variety of NGS data. You will also work closely with lab members on a variety of exciting and high-impact projects and will have the freedom and autonomy to lead independent research projects. In addition, you will have the opportunity to work with and learn from a multi-disciplinary group of collaborators including clinicians, laboratory scientists, bio-informaticians, and bio-statisticians from around the country to grow your network and skillset. Education:

Required
Terminal Degree
Ph.D in Biology.

Qualifications:

Required Experience:
- Experience in R, Python, and Linux command line.
- Experience in processing Next-gen sequencing data.
- Basic background in statistics (e.g. standard statistical tests, simple regression models).
- Publications relevant to omics data analysis.
- Experience with DNA sequencing processing pipelines & data analysis.

Preferred Experience:
- Experience with RNAseq processing pipelines & data analysis.
- Experience with microarray processing pipelines & data analysis.
- Experience with ChIP-seq processing pipelines & data analysis.
- Experience with methylation data analysis.
- Experience with clinical data analysis.
- Experience with public databases such as TCGA, CCLE, GDSC, etc.
- Experience with classical machine learning algorithms.
