Compensation and Benefits

Salary is competitive and negotiable depending on the strength of qualifications. This is a CSU Management Personnel Plan (MPP) position.

The CSU system provides a comprehensive benefit package that includes medical, dental and vision plans, membership in the California Public Employees Retirement System (CalPERS), sick and vacation time, and 14 paid holidays a year. Job Summary

The Defensive Coordinator is responsible to support the Head Football Coach to develop and sustain a strong, competitive Division 1 football program.

Key Qualifications
  • Experience as a Defensive Coordinator
  • Experience recruiting student­-athletes
  • Familiarity with NCAA and compatibility with coaching philosophy of the Head Coach
  • Ability to work effectively with faculty, staff, students and supporters from diverse ethnic, cultural and socio­economic backgrounds
  • Ability of support the gender and diversity goals of the department

Education and Experience
  • Bachelors Degree from a regionally accredited four ­year university or college
  • Experience coaching football at the Division I Collegiate level, in the NFL, or other professional football league
